Board of Directors
The distinction between an electric cooperative and any other electric utility is the management structure of the cooperative. Electric cooperatives are not only owned by their customers (members) but the members also have a role in the management of the cooperative. This is unique to electric cooperatives and in no other type of electric utility does the customer have such a voice.
