Swisher Electric Cooperative provides electric service to agribusiness in the Texas Panhandle.Swisher Electric Cooperative is a not-for-profit business owned and controlled by its member-owners and customers. The principal business of Swisher Electric is the distribution and sale of electricity to its members. Swisher Electric is:
  • a private independent electric utility business
  • owned by the consumers (members) it serves
  • incorporated under the laws of the state of Texas
  • established to provide at-cost electric service
  • governed by a board of directors elected from the membership, which sets policies and procedures that are implemented by the cooperatives’ professional staff
